Savoy Cabbage in red wine

  • One head of cabbage;
  • water;
  • glass of red wine;
  • salt and pepper;
  • 3 rashers bacon (chopped and fried or grilled until crisp)

Slice the cabbage. Place in saucepan with ½ inch of water, the red wine and some salt and ground black pepper.

Cook until tender (about 5 minutes) and drain. Top with crisply grilled bacon and serve.
